Australian MPs pen a letter to UK Government

The Bring Julian Assange Home Parliamentary Group, wrote to the UK Home Secretary urging the government to assess the risks of extradition to the US, and to review Assange’s health and wellbeing in order to keep him safe.

“Both the Australian Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition have stated publicly that Mr Assange’s case has gone on for too long. This is a position with which we wholeheartedly concur.

We are requesting that you undertake an urgent, thorough an independent assessment of the risks to Mr Assange’s health and welfare in the event he is extradited to the United States.”
